The origin of the PbFCl-type structure was shifted from the usual setting to the lanthanoid position to emphasize the similarity with the ThCr2Si2-type structure. WebThe compound Ba 1–x K x Zn 2 As 2 has a low-temperature phase (α-phase) crystallized in the α-BaCu 2 S 2 -type structure and a high-temperature phase (β-phase) crystallized in the ThCr 2 Si 2 -type structure. We successfully obtained the β-phase at room temperature as a metastable state by quenching from above the structural phase transition.
