WebbA 'covered benefit' generally refers to a health service that is included (i.e., 'covered') under the premium for a given health insurance policy that is paid by, or on behalf of, the enrolled patient. 'Covered' means that some portion of the allowable cost of a health service will be considered for payment by the insurance company. WebbHealth policy is an interdisciplinary field that examines the organization and financing of health systems and services; the impact of health policies on population health; and the economic, social and behavioral determinants of health. It involves the investigation of all systems that affect population health, not just the medical care system.
