Webb19 feb. 2008 · the rear brakes are still locking up at low speed Presuming you're sensing a lot of drag coming "up to stop" I'd suggest that you go to a lonely road, coast to a stop after running long enough to be sure the brakes should be cool & get out & check to see if the rear drums are hot. Purchase some brake fluid from your local ATV supplier and locate the brake fluid reservoir. If you notice that your wheels are locking up while you’re driving, then this obviously means that your ABS control module is faulty or damaged. To trace the problem, id drive around the neighborhood or wherever til it starts doing the problem. Then I'd start by jacking up the car. On all four wheels at the same time if you can. And put the car in neutral and parking brake off and spin all the wheels by hand.
Webb16 juni 2024 · Put it reverse and moves fine, back in drive and right rear locks up leaving skid marks. No CEL/ABS lights, no issues shifting into gear, no noises like grinding or popping. Park brake very seldom used and was not set during this instance. They also checked the other brakes & found out that the back left brake is not also releasing. Front left & back right are working well. Their last option is to bleed the fluid & pressure to replace with new brake fluids.

I've bleed mine several times, made sure the piston will move and adjusted foot brake lever and after a few miles it still locks up. I carry a 11mm wrench so I can relieve pressure and as of now---not using the rear brake.
