Polygon smoothing groups
WebSmoothing modifiers behave differently in 3ds Max 2024 compared to earlier versions. Applying a Smooth modifier doesn't seem to allow all objects' polygons to be smoothed uniformly (some areas remain faceted). Explicit normals for imported objects into 3ds Max 2024 can no longer be smoothed unless they are reset first
